Shopping in Reno

Many people will raise their eyebrows when the subject of shopping in Reno comes up. In so much of the popular culture and media, they only see the casinos and resorts of the city. But once you are here, you come to find that the number and variety of stores in the Biggest Little City is staggering. Whatever it is you're looking for, we've got a shop or a business that will be happy to provide it. Clothing, books, outdoor gear, pet supplies, home furnishings, electronics, arts and crafts, this list goes on forever. Is antiquing your passion? You'll find several large antique malls in town. The latest in clothing fashions? Check out the stores on the south side of town, or cruise downtown for ultra hip boutiques. Looking for some Western accents for your wardrobe or home? Reno practically invented the Wild West! The point is, whether you're into high fashion, shabby chic, ironic hipster or millennial mod, Reno shopping has stores and shops where you can find a great buy. And since no place is too far away from anyplace else here in the Truckee Meadows, you can hit all the hot spots in one afternoon for a bit of comparison shopping.

Choosing Your Reno Shopping

If you'd rather pick just one particular area for your shopping spree, you can do it without running all over town. You'll find plenty of stores within walking distance once you claim a parking spot downtown. Or select one of the malls and make a day of window shopping at dozens of stores right in one location. Shopping in Reno can also be an event that takes place under just one roof at one of the casino resorts. Many have a wide range of stores and shops just a stone's throw from the gaming floor.
